Abstract
To improve the key indices such as barrel life and fire accuracy of large-caliber self-propelled gun-howitzer, the large-caliber self-propelled gun-howitzer with symmetrical counterrecoil mechanism and combined rifling was taken for example, and the effect of erosion on dynamic response of gun was studied. A modeling method for erosion barrel was proposed by investigating the bore erosion data. Finite element models were established for erosion barrels. The dynamic response of gun fire system in interior bore period was obtained by simulation, including rotating moment, contact force on projectile and gun muzzle vibration. The effect of erosion on gun dynamic response was researched. The results show that erosion effects gun dynamic response, contact force on projectile and muzzle vibration velocity increase with erosion, while erosion has little effect on muzzle vibration displacement. The results offer theoretical reference for the overall structure design of gun systems.
