Study on Trajectory Instability Mechanism of Uncontrolled Rocket
Main Article Content
Abstract
The trajectory instability of uncontrolled rocket appears during the development of advanced air-to-air missile(AAAM). Aiming at this problem, the longitudinal and lateral mathematical models of the rocket body were established,as well as the mathematical model of cross-coupling. The numerical simulation of resonance phenomenon was carried out,and the mechanism of trajectory instability was studied. It is the fundamental reason that the longitudinal and lateral coupling resonates when the static stability of AAAM reduces. Combined with numerical simulation research and engineering practice, the active control measures and passive control measures were proposed to ensure the flight stability of uncontrolled rocket based on the technical characteristics of AAAM,and the flight test proved the measures effective. It also points out that there is no similar trajectory instability problem with controlled missile.
