Numerical Research on Band Engraving Process in the Abraded Barrel

Abstract
To investigate the influence of different bore wear of barrel on engraving process,the wear state of barrel was described as radial expansion along the axis on the inner bore and the shape degradation of the(non)rifle guide side,and the script modeling method was used to establish the wear barrel model. Taking into account the thermal effects of inelastic heat produce,the Abaqus/Explicit and its subroutine Vuamp and Vfriction were used to establish the thermo-mechanical coupling model,and the variation characteristics of engraving-process parameters were analyzed and compared. The simulation results show that with the increase of wear degree,the squeezed time is shortened,and the velocity of projectile,pressure behind the projectile and engraving resistance are all affected in varying degrees during the period. With the reduction of relative combustible mass,various energy indicators also change.
